This image was taken in early September of 2021 on a backpacking trip with my father-in-law. Earlier in the day, there was a hazy layer of smoke that was mostly blocking the view looking across the lake. Then as night fell, the smoke almost instantly disappeared revealing the silhouette of Three Fingered Jack and a perfect reflection of the Milky Way.
